Sustaining the research agenda enhancing the digital resource: a workshop in digital data

York, Wednesday 26th January 2005

The workshop will map current and future developments in the fields of online accessibility and digital archiving for researchers in the HE sector. It is designed to assist and support the creation, dissemination and use of high quality digital research resources in archaeology. It will inform the development of new funding applications by highlighting strategic issues of concern to those who fund projects.

Topics will include Digital resources in research, funding for research and digitisation, publication and archiving in archaeology, intellectual property rights and good practice in the creation of digital resources. A full programme will be provided on the day, which will start at 1030. There is a non-refundable fee of £15 which includes lunch.

Who should come?

  • Holders of major research grants from the AHRB the British Academy, NERC, Leverhulme or the like
  • Holders of digitisation or resource enhancement grants from bodies such as the AHRB, the Heritage Lottery Fund, or staff involved in digitisation
  • Those intending to apply for any of the above
  • Unfunded researchers in the HE sector
  • Researchers who have completed significant research projects in the last five years
  • Graduate students and post-doctoral researchers
