The Archaeology Data Service (ADS) hosts AHDS Archaeology, and resides at the University of York. It is jointly funded by the Joint Information System Committee and the Arts and Humanities Research Board. The ADS collects, describes, catalogues, preserves and provides user support for digital resources created during archaeological research. The ADS promotes standards and guidelines for best practice in the creation, description, preservation and use of spatial information to the AHDS.
