A Bluffer's Guide to Metadata

A seminar with the Performing Arts Data Service, Glasgow 25th June 2003

The Performing Arts Data Service invite you to a one-day seminar on metadata. The ADS and others will be contributing to this seminar, so it provides a good opportunity to raise questions about metadata, data standards and controlled vocabularies with specialists in a variety of different fields. The workshop is aimed at researchers and anyone intending to apply for funding from major grant-giving organisations. The seminar costs 30ukp (15ukp for students).

Fieldwork, Digital Archiving and the ADS

A seminar with the Archaeology Data Service, York 17th July 2003.

The ADS invites you to a one-day seminar on digital archiving, the ADS and archaeological fieldwork. It will present recent ideas on best practices in digital archiving for archaeologists, and how these may impact on working practices in field units. The workshop is designed for fieldworkers, archive managers and researchers. The seminar is free of charge.
