Environmental Archaeology Bibliography

Go to resource

The Environmental Archaeology Bibliography (EAB) is a compilation of bibliographic references to published reports on environmental archaeology from the whole of the British Isles (including the Channel Islands). It is primarily concerned with reports attached to or included within archaeological excavation reports and dealing with remains of plants, fungi and animals, or with sediments, or with artefacts of biological origin. It also includes reports on dating by dendrochronology. As well as the bibliographic information, the EAB includes fields which record the kind of report, the date of the material, and a crude indication of the size of the report.

The Environmental Archaeology Bibliography contains information on over 11,000 sites and over 21,000 individual specialist reports. This data is available as a searchable database through a web interface.
